I recently watched a video on the art of gift wrapping in Japan, and it was really eye-opening!
In the video, they visited a few different shops to see how it's done.
One of the first stops was at a mochi shop in Osaka called Kiyasu Sohonten, which is known for being the fastest in the world.
These guys can wrap a gift in just 13 seconds with ribbon - it's seriously impressive to watch.
You can watch the video here and be amazed at the speed and quality:
Do you think you can wrap gifts like that?
For me, definitely no. hahaha
But overall, it was really interesting to see the culture of gift wrapping in Japan and how it's such an integral part of their shopping experience.
I'm definitely going to have to try out some of these techniques the next time I'm wrapping a present! LOL!
Cheers,
Alec
