This has been on my bucket list for quite some time now.
Japan is famous for it's hot springs (also known as onsens), there's nothing quite like them, as it's not just a place to relax, but it's also a lifestyle.
And look no further than one of Japan's biggest hot spring towns where you literally have hundreds of onsens to choose from. The place is called Beppu on the Southern West side of Japan on Kyushu island.

For me, this place not only looks like a great place to go and relax, but also a great place to live! Imagine living there and everyday you can go to any hot spring you want! haha
