This is what I love most about Japan.
Yes you can have all the big thrills of their vibrant cities like Tokyo,
but one of the biggest hidden gems in Japan is venturing out to a mountain side town and experience tranquility amongst nature!
And not only that, usually in these mountain side towns, you can actually stay overnight in the numerous beautiful temples to relax and simply soak up the calming atmosphere!
