These are one my favorite things in Japan.
What you will notice the moment you step into any town or city in Japan, is that you will find these quaint little walking shopping streets filled with shops and restaurants.
These shopping streets are called shotengai and what makes them special are all the little unique gems you will find that brings character to its streets.
