Inside Life Of A Coin Locker Operator

Inside Life Of A Coin Locker Operator

If you ever been to Tokyo, one of the biggest conveniences is the coin locker!

They are everywhere, and everyone uses them.

Have a big luggage and don't want to carry it around while you tour Tokyo?  Easy, throw it into the coin locker.

Went on a huge shopping spree and getting tired of carrying it?  Easy, throw it into the coin locker.

You get the pattern.

And here's an interesting video I found, that gives a glimpse of the people behind the scenes maintaining these lockers!

I never knew how much detail goes into maintaining these lockers each and every day.

And some of the things they pull out of the lockers that were left over or forgotten, will surprise you (such as a brand spanking new iPad...)!

Check out this video here:

One of the biggest things that stood out for me was how meticulous and fast the coin locker guy was working.

He not only took the time to carefully tag all of the lost and forgotten items, but also making sure the vacant lockers are cleaned up and ready to go for the next person to use!

All while doing it at an extremely fast pace.

Are there such coin lockers from where you're from?  Could such a system be implemented to your local town or city?

Speaking of Tokyo, we love Tokyo so much that we created our own Tokyo collection in our store.
