One of the best and most convenient places you can go to for a quality meal in Japan is actually to one of their many family chain restaurants.
I know there are many other great things to eat in Japan, but hear me out...
If you just want something that is easy, comfortable, convenient, no fuss, and great quality...or maybe if you are with lots of young kids or with a diverse group of people and need somewhere that has more space...then these family restaurants are the place to be.
Here you will usually find lots of choices for different tastes, huge portions, great quality, and also at reasonable prices.
